Triple Crown Series ROUND 1 & 2 | Dorva MX Motocross Track

    Team Update

Triple Crown Series ROUND 1 & 2 | Dorva MX Motocross Track

The 2026 Triple Crown Series is officially underway, and what an incredible way to kick off the season at Drumheller MX! The team had an amazing first weekend of racing and was especially exciting as it marked the return of our rider, Miss Savannah, along with the debut of our new build for 2026 the RS1 Electric. As expected with the first races of the season, everyone had an issue or two, but that's racing. We worked through every challenge that came our way and, most importantly, we were "Kickin' Gass and Havin' Fun!!" Now it's back to the shop for a few repairs and upgrades before we head to the next round.

We want to give a huge thank you to all of our amazing sponsors, supporters, family, and friends!! A special thank you goes out to Factory Outlet Trailers & Truck Upfitting for hooking us up with our amazing new trailer for the 2026 race season. We transformed it into the ultimate race hauler, installing 3000 watts of solar, 15kWh of lithium storage, a 6kW inverter, a double fold-down bed, California King lift bed, half bath, windows, and still have tons of room for all the machines. It pulls amazing and has already become a huge asset to our race weekends!

Isaac Ran the Track like He knew it. Saturday started with some excitement when his throttle broke and would not return properly during Moto 1. Despite the issue, Isaac stayed focused and rode his way to a 1st place finish. After a quick repair and throttle replacement, he came out swinging in Moto 2 and grabbed another 1st place finish, sweeping the day.

Sunday looked just as promising. He rode strong in Moto 1, but after a hard landing on throttle we discovered oil everywhere. It appears he cracked the case on his QS165 gearbox. With no time for major repairs, Isaac lined up for Moto 2 anyway and rode the machine as-is. Once again, he powered his way to the front and finished with another 1st place finish.

Looks like we'll be shopping for a new case cover and gear set, but we're pretty happy with four moto wins to start the season!

Theo had a rough start to the weekend after rolling his machine during Saturday practice and getting pretty banged up. Despite being sore, he lined up for Moto 1 and put together a solid ride for 2nd place. Moto 2 was a different story. Theo held his lines, kept charging, and kicked gass all the way to a 1st place finish.

Sunday brought another challenge as he battled a fluttering issue with the motor. Even with the machine not running perfectly, Theo worked hard and secured a 2nd place finish in Moto 1. In Moto 2 he turned up the pace again and grabbed another 1st place finish. Theo finished both rounds with an Overall 1st Place finish!

    Moxin, here we come!

    Savannah

    Savannah

The debut of Miss Savannah's Electric RS1 went great. Saturday morning practice started with a broken belt, something we suspect may have been related to it being the original Fab belt. Fortunately, it never caused another issue for the remainder of the weekend. Moto 1 was all about learning. Savannah was getting comfortable with the machine and forgot to switch on the cooling system. The RS1 overheated halfway through the final lap, cutting her moto short. For Moto 2, we made sure everything was switched on and ready to go. Savannah settled in, rode a great race, and finished with a strong 2nd place.

By Sunday, she must have grown wings! She was hucking that unit off the jumps and looked completely at home behind the wheel. She rode smooth, kept the machine cool, and finished the day with another 2nd place finish. Her determination throughout the weekend didn't go unnoticed. Despite the mechanical setbacks and learning an entirely new race machine, Savannah never gave up, kept a positive attitude, and continued charging every time she hit the track. Her perseverance earned her the Hard Charger Award, a well-deserved recognition of her resilience and determination.

More important than the trophies and awards was the smile on her face when she climbed out of the machine. That's what Kumsons Electric Race Team is all about—Kickin' Gass and Havin' Fun!!
